Brioches Fonteneau is first and foremost a family story that began in 1977. Today, it has more than 300 employees, 3 production sites in Vendée and more than 45 years of expertise !

OUR STORY

The story begins in 1977 in Chavagnes-en-Paillers when Gilles and Marie-Jo Fonteneau bought a small bakery. Driven by their shared passion for Vendée cuisine, the Fonteneau family quickly dedicated themselves to making brioches and gâches (a type of brioche). Shortly after launching their business, and thanks to their Citroën 2CV, they began delivering their products to supermarkets in the region. The little van is now the brand's emblem !

Since 2017, Mathieu and Christine, the second generation, have been at the helm of the company. Today, it is a rapidly growing business that they continue to innovate with passion, kindness, and commitment.

OUR PRODUCTS

Brioches Fonteneau is committed to offering a wide selection of brioches and gâches for every moment of the day. All brioches are made in the Vendée region, respecting tradition and baking expertise. From making their own sourdough starter to hand-braided brioches, rediscover the unique flavor of Vendée's culinary heritage !

The factory outlet is located in Montaigu-Vendée. Isabelle and Sylvie will welcome you there from Monday to Friday starting at 8:30 am. From traditional Vendée brioche to Nanterre brioche and brioche cakes, come and discover or rediscover their products!

Brioche recipes and formats: Label Rouge brioche, gâche, Nanterre brioche, seeded brioches, chocolate chip brioche, pearl sugar brioche, brioche cake… and many more to be found in store.
