During my recent visit to La Lutine bakery, located on the corner of Rue de Gaoua and Rue Georges Clemenceau, opposite Notre Dame de Fontenay le Comte, I encountered an unpleasant situation. While placing my order at the register, I unfortunately mistook the name of a bread, which can be explained by my recent move to this region of France, where the names differ. The saleswoman then gave me a visibly annoyed look and, with a loud sigh, began to list all the available breads, as if I didn't know what I was looking for. The scene, worthy of a theatrical performance, was all the more surprising as the manager, who was nearby, didn't see fit to intervene, even though we were the only customers in the establishment. This experience leads me to conclude that this behavior might be common practice at this bakery. Consequently, I feel compelled to avoid it in the future.

We stopped by this evening to buy some pastries and a country loaf. The young saleswoman handed us a baguette; I then specified, "No, a country loaf, a 400." She didn't seem to understand at all, and when I pointed to the loaf in question, she replied, "Ah, the Mélusine!" with a sigh and an annoyed look. Charming. We're from the Southwest, where the names aren't the same, and I completely understand that it could be confusing, but did it really warrant such a response? In short, this experience has really put us off. Next time, we'll go somewhere else, to a place where the welcome is warmer.
