    • La Bergerie du Brandais, passionate cheesemakers to meet in Vendée

Nature lovers, animal enthusiasts, and foodies will adore discovering La Bergerie du Brandais, which produces delicious raw milk sheep's cheeses year-round. Located between the sea and the bocage countryside in Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, near the Vendée coast, Damien and Noémie warmly welcome you with a smile to share their passion with you.

The Brandais sheepfold is open for self-guided visits on Wednesday afternoons from 3 pm to 6:30 pm between Easter and All Saints' Day, after you've helped bring the sheep in from the fields. Want a little secret? Wait until 5 pm to participate in the milking and enjoy the wonderful aroma of warm milk that fills the sheepfold.

After your exertions, treat yourself! Head to the shop to stock up on delicious sheep's cheeses, a diverse range from fresh cheeses to tomme aged for over six months. The Vendée sheep's cheese even won a gold medal at the 2022 Lyon International Competition ! Whether with family, friends, a loved one, or even a school or business group, the Bergerie du Brandais is a fascinating place to visit.

The added bonus: direct sales at the farm and a grocery store where you can find delicious local products
