The summer season

Winter in Longeville-sur-Mer also means a vast, renowned Christmas market with more than 100 exhibitors spread across a village of wooden chalets, an unmissable event that marks the end of the year.

The beach and surfing

Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Longeville-sur-Mer stretches over 7km of fine sandy beach with 3 beaches, 2 of which are supervised in summer for swimming. Many activities are offered such as sand yachting or longe-côte, but the star remains surfing in this town labeled "Ville de Surf". Longeville-sur-Mer, a town of exchange and sharing in Vendée

Far from being isolated, this family seaside resort opens up to new encounters through exciting exchanges and partnerships.

Exchanges every 2 years

Every two years, a meeting focused on sharing is organized with the town of Sare in the Basque Country and the town of Oberhergheim in Alsace. Over a four-day weekend in May, registered residents and delegations travel in turn to neighboring towns to discover the gastronomy, heritage, culture, traditions, associations, economic life and social life of the partner towns.

The reception of the Parisian school Campus Animation

Every year, Longeville-sur-Mer becomes the world capital of animation between January and March. This period marks the arrival of students from the Campus Animation school in a holiday village in the town who come to train for many professions (early childhood, fitness instructor, choreographer, technician, versatile microphone animator, etc.). On this occasion, young people aged 17 to 28 invite themselves to associations to participate in workshops and organize highlights and evenings to obtain their BAC level diploma after 8 months of training.
