The Brandais Sheepfold, a visit open to groups in Vendée
Walking in the open air, petting a sheep, running through the fields… there’s no age limit to enjoying simple, good times. Based in Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, between Longeville-sur-Mer, Jard-sur-Mer and Les Sables-d'Olonne, Damien and Noémie welcome you to the Bergerie du Brandais for a visit punctuated by the bleating of the sheep.
Every Wednesday afternoon from 3 pm to 6:30 pm between Easter and All Saints' Day, children and adults are welcome at the farm to help bring the sheep in from the fields and participate in the milking from 5 pm onwards. Whether with family, friends, school groups, or professionals, visits are free to discover the Bergerie du Brandais and its activities alongside Damien and Noémie, two passionate farmers delighted to introduce you to their animals and dairy products.
The open shop offers the opportunity to taste and purchase delicious raw sheep's milk cheeses made on site, a variety of small treats ranging from fresh cheese to tomme aged for over 6 months. The Vendée sheep's milk tomme even won a gold medal at the 2022 Lyon International Competition !
