Formerly a brickyard, this family business has been perpetuating a traditional know-how passed down from generation to generation since the 17th century.

Over the centuries, Lutton Pottery has developed true expertise in the handcrafted production of pottery, bricks, tiles, and utilitarian clay objects. Today, it continues this tradition by offering locally produced, handcrafted items made from natural materials and fired at high temperatures to guarantee strength, durability, and quality.

Handcrafted production of traditional pottery

Lutton Pottery manufactures a wide range of garden pottery for garden use, decoration, and everyday purposes. Each piece is handcrafted using traditional terracotta techniques.

The workshop offers, among other things, garden pottery, strawberry jars, terracotta composters, birdhouses, barrels, pizza trays and custom creations.

This diversity of products allows us to meet the needs of both individuals and professionals looking for durable and authentic handcrafted pottery.

Each creation is fired at over 1000 degrees, guaranteeing solidity and longevity, while preserving the natural properties of the clay.

Ollas: an ecological and economical watering solution

Among the flagship products of Lutton Pottery, buried ollas hold an important place. Used for over 4000 years, this terracotta watering system allows for natural and autonomous irrigation directly to the roots of plants.

An olla is a microporous ceramic pot that slowly releases water into the soil according to the plant's needs. This system reduces water consumption by 50 to 70% compared to traditional watering.

Faced with environmental challenges and summer droughts, the olla represents a sustainable solution for ecological gardening and plant maintenance.

Ollas suitable for indoor and outdoor plants

The ollas for planting made by Poterie Lutton are suitable for all types of planting: vegetable gardens, planters, indoor plants and outdoor flowerbeds.

The visit allows you to understand the manufacturing stages: clay preparation, shaping, drying and firing.

The workshop is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4:30pm.
