      A bit of history

      Originally, Chaillé-les-Marais was a limestone island surrounded by the sea. Over the centuries, marshes formed, transforming this landscape into a green setting.

      Today, we can still discover vestiges of this maritime past.


      The Marais Poitevin, a natural jewel

      The main asset of Chaillé-les-Marais is undoubtedly its proximity to the Marais Poitevin. This regional natural park is famous for its unique landscapes :
