The town is located between Luçon and Nalliers, in a plain as its name suggests. You will find there a forest populated by old and venerable oaks of 200 to 300 years. It is estimated that the forest was already present in Neolithic times. You will enjoy walking there to meet the Black Kite, the Common Buzzard and other birds of prey, because its limestone and open terrain is conducive to quality hunting for these birds. 3 remarkable heritage buildings can be found in the town: its 14th century Gothic church, La Chevallerie, a very beautiful castle-type residence and La Popelinière, an old dwelling.
