    • Talmont Castle, an emblematic site of medieval architectural history, is now classified as a Historical Monument.

      A programme throughout the seasons:

      • April, May, June, September, October: Explore the castle at your own pace. There are many events to discover during this period, such as the Easter egg hunt, the Medieval Festival, the JEA, the JEP, as well as a new programme for the All Saints' Day holidays.
      • From 5 April to 1 May, Monday to Friday: Take part in guided tours, a treasure hunt, demonstrations of birds of prey in free flight and historical entertainment.
      • In summer, from 6 July to 28 August, Monday to Friday: Immerse yourself in medieval times with knight shows, falconry demonstrations, interactive workshops (calligraphy, costume, crossbow shooting, etc.) and guided tours.

      Open from April to November, the castle reveals its secrets through different types of activities.

      Evening sessions on Tuesdays (or Thursdays) by reservation.

    Of course, you shouldn't miss this visit, and it's even better when there are shows or activities like the medieval festival in May or the Christmas market in December!

    I had an incredible afternoon at Talmont Castle! The ruins are stunning, well-preserved, and easily accessible. The knights' show was impressive: the two presenters were both funny and professional, making the experience lively and immersive. The knights themselves also put on a great show! A truly entertaining mix of humor and stunts! We finished with the bird show… what can I say except AMAZING! The presenter is so passionate (she even kisses the birds 🦅) and it shows. She knows how to captivate the audience even when the birds of prey decide to do their own thing, and I loved learning more about them. In short: a team of passionate people who share their love of history and animals through high-quality shows. I highly recommend it.
