The Granges Cathus Castle is located in Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, not far from the Château de Talmont. It is a beautiful 16th century residence in the Renaissance style. Always occupied, it has benefited from numerous restorations, notably during the 19th century. The vaulted ceiling of the staircase is particularly remarkable. It is entirely decorated with very fine sculptures, recounting scenes from the life of Jean Cathus.
