Brioches Fonteneau, the essential brioche for your wedding

Brioches Fonteneau is first and foremost a Vendée family story. It's the story of a small bakery that specialized in brioche and gâche. Since 1977, the family business has grown around this emblematic regional product to become one of the major players in the sector.

A true Vendée tradition, the brioche dance is an essential part of weddings. These round brioches, available in 6 kg or 12 kg sizes, are carried on wooden stretchers with four handles. Formerly given by the godparents, they are carried to the heart of the celebration, while guests gather to dance in a farandole beneath the brioche. Once the dancing is over, it's time to share: the brioche is cut and enjoyed by everyone, yielding approximately 60 slices for the 6 kg brioche and 120 slices for the 12 kg brioche.

Beyond the wedding brioche, Brioches Fonteneau also offers other traditional recipes, such as the 2.5 kg brioche or the Label Rouge brioche.
