    • The Grand Phare, emblem of the island of Yeu, stands proudly in the middle of the island, more precisely at the Pointe des Corbeaux . It is a 41-meter-high lighthouse , a true landmark for sailors and a must-see attraction for visitors.

The original lighthouse was built in 1827 but was destroyed by the German army in 1944. The lighthouse seen today is a reconstruction, inaugurated in 1950.

For the bravest, climbing the 198 steps of the lighthouse is an effort rewarded by a breathtaking view of the island's landscapes. At the top, you can admire the wild coastline, steep cliffs and fine sandy beaches. On a clear day, you can even see the mainland.
