The La Chevauchée des Dunes equestrian center has been open every summer since 1999, for the pleasure of those who want to enjoy the sunny climate of Vendée, its beaches, its forests, its marshes... and satisfy their passion for horses !
Whatever your riding experience, come and discover horse or pony rides in an exceptional setting.
We offer foam galloping for older children or mini pony courses for children by the day or week.
Our qualified team will be happy to introduce you to these fun activities, to share with family or friends.

Horseback riding

Are you looking for an outdoor activity for your children during your holidays in Vendée? Would you like to spend some time in contact with nature in Saint-Jean-de-Monts? Do you love horses and dream of riding in the great outdoors, galloping on the beach, or riding by the sea? Discover our packages:

• 1-hour discovery horseback ride

Walk in the forest and the dune, in groups of different levels, beginners and novices accepted accompanied by a qualified person.

By reservation. From 8 years old.

• 2-hour ride for experienced riders

On the beach and in the forest, walking in the water and for long gallops.

By reservation. From 12 years old.

• Horseback riding with overnight stay for 2 half days

Walk along the beach, in the forest and the marsh. Swimming in the sea if the weather permits.

Reservation required, depending on the number of participants. Ages 14 and up.

The ponies

At our center in Saint-Jean-de-Monts (Vendée), during the summer, our horse and pony friends live in meadows or paddocks. We care for around 35 equines, from the gentlest to the most playful, of various sizes and morphologies, you're sure to find something to help your children discover horse riding. Give them the perfect sporting activity during the holidays!

• Shetland pony rides / pony rides

Led by parents for 1/2 hour or 1 hour at your leisure, walk on a quiet route, at your own pace, in the pine forest.

From 2 and a half years old. Every day, no reservation required.

• Mini pony courses

Supervised by a qualified instructor for a session or for the week, in a progressive and fun way, children learn to take care of their ponies, to lead, to play games and to lead themselves in the forest. Depending on the progress, a hike with a picnic at the end of the week.

From 7 to 11 years old. Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
