Born in Brétignolles-sur-Mer, DARÜ is a local brand that draws its identity from the Vendée coastline. It all started with a simple idea: to create clothing that reflects the soul of the coast, freedom, the sea and the attachment to our land.

The name DARÜ comes from Old French and means "strength," a direct nod to the crab, particularly the strength of its claws, an emblematic symbol of the brand: firmly attached to its rock, rooted, resilient, and loyal to its territory. It is this philosophy—strength, freedom, and authenticity—that guides each of our creations.

Our garments are made from soft, durable, and certified organic cotton, and are printed, embroidered, and screen-printed in France. Whenever possible, we work with local workshops and artisans from the Vendée region, thus promoting authentic craftsmanship and a responsible production process.
