Directions Longeville-sur-Mer - Beaches, surfing and nature in Vendée

About

  • English
    • At the entrance to the magnificent Vendée coastline, just opposite the island of Ré, Longeville-sur-Mer became a seaside resort at the same time as its coastal counterparts in the 20th century.

With its old town center, 7.2 km of beaches, the Longeville state forest, and the beginning of the Marais Poitevin Regional Natural Park, this is a town that has also retained its character. The marshland is here a focus of economic, territorial, and tourism development, with a view to sustainable development, in order to preserve this fragile and unique ecosystem.

Take a stroll to La Maison du Marais for a bucolic boat ride. Admire the beautiful restored Moulin des Rabouillères, which is open to visitors during Heritage Days.

Longeville-sur-Mer is a renowned surf spot, on the Conches beach, the Bud Bud area is considered to be of the same quality (depending on the swell conditions) as the beaches of the Landes!
