My partner and I stayed at this hotel from June 12th to 14th, as we were staying at Puy du Fou. We appreciate the proximity to the theme park, and were initially charmed by this hotel, which seemed to offer great promise and be located in a beautiful setting. BUT... Despite everything, reception was very difficult to reach before our arrival (we had to call three or four times over two days before reaching someone to get information not specified on the hotel's website). Furthermore, we ended up in a room in the red building facing the castle, which, in addition to being very difficult to open with the key, was small for a 5⭐️ hotel and severely lacking in light. There were only two small windows high up in the room, and the only light was the glass door, where the blinds remained permanently closed if we wanted to avoid direct access to the outside world and the lack of privacy. The only positives: the rather comfortable bed and the decent bathroom. But the price is excessive for the services offered. We regret the lack of a mini fridge and a kettle, which would have allowed us to make a small breakfast, given that paying €25 per person per day for breakfast was out of the question. We also regret the lack of a restaurant on the property; we had to drive back after a long day at Puy du Fou the first evening to have a decent dinner. We were really looking forward to this first experience in a 5-star hotel, and we were disappointed.

I booked a room mainly because it had air conditioning. Well, the air conditioning wasn't working yet, so it was impossible to use! We were there on May 30th, with 35 degrees Celsius during the day, so the night was very, very, extremely hot. Plus, there was no fridge in the room (nor a minibar), so it was impossible to cool water to compensate for the heat. The breakfast was basic in terms of selection, nothing special, except for the price: €50 for two! The only positive points were the very comfortable bed and the castle's setting.
