Les Epesses is 12 centuries of history, in a pretty town in the Vendée bocage. But if its name means nothing to you, know that it is host to one of the biggest tourist sites in Vendée and France: Le Puy du Fou! It was in 1978 that this incredible adventure began, under the impetus of Philippe de Villiers, who was also behind the Vendée Globe. In 1978, it all started with a summer show, the Cinéscénie, held by a few entertainment professionals and many local volunteers, which retraced the history of Vendée and the Château du Puy du Fou, through a magnificent night-time performance. of sound and lights.
