Eco Pain: the beer that recycles bread!

Handcrafted, from the Vendée region, and eco-friendly, the beers from this microbrewery, established in Bournezeau since 2024, have a little something extra: unsold bread collected from local artisan bakeries (15% in each recipe). This bread replaces some of the barley malt, preventing it from ending up in the trash and thus reducing food waste and barley malt consumption. But that doesn't stop them from making great beer 😉

Local sourcing of raw materials, membership in a glass bottle reuse program, repurposing of production waste into animal feed, self-consumption of electricity via photovoltaic panels… This microbrewery has multiple commitments, but it also simply offers the pleasure of a good beer with L'Éco Pain (“the buddies”), whether it is blonde, white, amber, brown, NEIPA, triple, IPA or ephemeral (new products punctuate the year: spring beer, Christmas beer, artisanal lemonade...).

How can we discover them?

3 OPTIONS FOR ENJOYING THEM

• At the bar : The building houses the brewery, of course, but also, adjoining it, a bar area spread over two levels (ground floor and first floor) with a large terrace overlooking the trees, a green space with garden furniture, a pétanque court, and more. All the craft beers brewed on-site are available on tap at the bar, as well as other drinks (wines, aperitifs, non-alcoholic beverages, etc.) so there's something for everyone. And to accompany them, there are appetizer platters (cheeses, charcuterie, spreads, etc.) to share with family and friends for a convivial moment.

• In the shop : All the craft beers and artisanal lemonade made on-site are available in 33cl and 75cl bottles in the shop located within the bar. Gift vouchers (also valid for a tour of the brewery), beer glasses, tumblers, branded clothing, and custom gift sets are also available for purchase.

• Beer dispenser loan included : When you purchase a keg, the dispenser and cups are loaned to you free of charge for your professional or private events. 20L and 30L kegs are available depending on your needs and availability; untapped kegs are, of course, returnable.
