La Chaize-le-Vicomte is a commune located to the east of La Roche-sur-Yon. Stroll through the old town district, which is charming. You will stroll there in pretty preserved alleys, a washhouse and the beautiful Saint-Nicolas church classified MH are to be admired. A small museum is located in the town, it is open all year round, the Charles Payraudeau Ornithological Museum. It can be visited freely with an audio-guide or a presentation sheet of the naturalist collections of birds & molluscs present.
