Rives-de-l'Yon is a commune northwest of Mareuil-sur-Lay. With just over 4,000 inhabitants, it is a place that benefits from all amenities. 40 minutes from the ocean and 15 minutes from La Roche-sur-Yon, it is nevertheless surrounded by nature. In Chaillé-sous-les-Ormeaux (which belongs to the town being a group of several old localities, small towns), you will visit La Maison des Libellules for the discovery of the Yon Valley through cultural activities and Hobbies.

3 hiking trails are present in the town: The Sentier du Méflier, the Sentier du Sureau, and the Sentier de l'Orme. A walk on the banks of the Yon river is very pleasant and you will find picnic tables there. Good spot for fishing too!
