- In the heart of the Poitevin marshes, it is a small village crossed by the Sèvre Niortaise. There are beautiful hikes, on foot or by bike, taking for example the towpath which runs along the river, in a secure way. Of course, there are boat trips to do in Damvix and why not even on a restaurant boat for lunch or dinner in season?! You can also just stroll along the Bazoin locks pier and enjoy this bucolic landscape, with a picnic of gourmet products. Here, we are a bit in Charente Maritime and a bit in Vendée, it depends on which side of the water you are… It's a jumble of locks that only regulars can understand. But don't panic, you can also take guided boat tours to find out more.
