Grande Côte Beach is a very wide beach, which widens with the tides. You have a breathtaking view ofthe island of Noirmoutier, just opposite. The municipal sand yachting school is located there. This is a good opportunity to discover this activity.
Grande Côte Beach in Fromentine
The beaches of Noirmoutier Island
There is no shortage of beaches on the island of Noirmoutier. If we have to name just one, Plage des Dames is a small beach, sandwiched between its Pier and Pointe Saint-Pierre. Its traditional bathing cabins take us back to the 19th century, when the beaches saw the arrival of the first tourists, and give it an old-world charm. There is a holiday atmosphere. On the beach, you can enjoy a restaurant, a snack bar, water sports...
We love its typical 19th century bathing cabins.

Bois Soret beach in Notre-Dame-de-Monts
Nestled in the dunes and bordered by the Pays de Monts national forest, Bois Soret beach is the wildest of Notre-Dame-de-Monts' beaches. Its unspoiled environment will appeal to nature lovers. However, it may not be the most practical for families, especially with young children. It is quite isolated and without any special facilities.
We particularly appreciate its natural setting between the dunes and the woods.
The Demoiselles beach between Saint-Jean-de-Monts and Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez
The large stretch of sand that extends from Saint-Jean-de-Monts to Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez has been divided into several beaches. The Demoiselles beach borders the town and therefore offers you more services. It is surrounded by the Golf beach to the north which runs alongside the golf course and allows you to combine sport and relaxation on the sand. To the south, the Soixante Bornes beach is extended by the Salins naturist beach.
We applaud the practicality of this beach and the city's services.

The cove of Soux on the island of Yeu
The island of Yeu is renowned for its wild coastline. Small coves dot the steep cliffs. The beach at Anse des Soux will make you feel like you're alone in the world. Its isolation is an asset for solitary travelers who will appreciate the peace and quiet and the change of scenery. But it's not a beach for families. There are no facilities, shops, or restaurants on site. Likewise, the parking lot is far away, and the currents can be dangerous.
It is a wild and isolated beach.

Boivinet beach and the large beach in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie
At the entrance to the port of La Vie, the small and intimatebeach of Boisvinet is appreciated by photographers for its views of the Boisvinet lighthouse, the Jetée de la Garenne and the Rêverie benches.
Then, on the other side of the jetty, is the Grande Plage de Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, with all the usual facilities, sports clubs, shops and services found in seaside towns. At the very end of the Grande Plage and separated by a rocky area, you have access to the naturist beach of Petit Pont.
We are very attracted by its views and the port of Life.
The beautiful beaches of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie
The Grande Plage des Sables d'Olonne is typical of Vendée seaside resorts. The setting, with its beach huts, will take you back to the time of the first sea bathing. You'll enjoy all the resort's amenities: shops, bars and restaurants, schools, sun lounger rentals, and more. For those who prefer fresh water with an ocean view, head to the Remblai swimming pool.
The best idea? A gourmet break at the ALMA restaurant, a 5-minute walk from Grande Plage. Open all year round (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), this Mediterranean restaurant enjoys a unique location with a privileged view of the ocean. While lunch offers simple, canteen-style dishes, dinner is a super-friendly occasion with plates to share, not to mention a glass of fine wine or a cocktail to toast with. Using fresh, seasonal and mainly local produce, Alma offers one of the most delicious food and drink menus in the Vendée.
A must-see! The most famous seaside resort in Vendée.

Veillon Beach in Talmont-Saint-Hilaire
Veillon Beach is the one that will satisfy the greatest number of people. In the heart of the mouth of the Payré and on the edge of the forest, it is a magnificent environment and a privileged site forbird watching. Nevertheless, it has all the essential services for families: supervised swimming, water sports, parking and a restaurant area.
The little extra? A very natural beach.
Veillon Beach
Conches beach, in Longeville-sur-Mer
Conches Beach stretches along a sand dune. Located near Longeville-sur-Mer, you'll find all the city's amenities, including restaurants and shops. A large car park is available at the beach entrance. The Longeville Surf Club offers introductory sessions, lessons, and surfing and bodyboarding courses, and rents out all kinds of equipment for board sports.
La Terrière Beach is a family-friendly beach. Swimming is supervised during the season. There is also a large car park and a snack bar. You will find all kinds of activities to do on site and in the surrounding area. You can practice water sports there, of course, but also walk on the footpaths of Forêt Plage.
