Hippodrome de l'Atlantique Horse racing in Saint-Jean-de-Monts

Founded on February 23, 1903, the St-Jean-de-Monts Racing Society is probably one of the oldest societies dependent on the Western Racing Federation.
The first horse races took place on the beach.
Today, its racecourse, immediately adjacent to the ocean, with a breathtaking view of the Ile d'Yeu, surrounded by the national forest, is located in an ideal setting. It was named "Hippodrome de l'Atlantique" in 1970.

On its grass track, considered today as one of the best tracks in the Grand Ouest due to its quality and flexibility, the Saint Jean de Monts Horse Racing Association, so named since 2023, organizes semi-nocturnal race meetings every summer (from 3:30 p.m.) with specific entertainment for each day.

Numerous improvements have been made to improve public reception conditions :

• Grass track maintained daily with automatic watering.
• Parking, stands, technical tower.
• Parking for professionals, boxes (reservation at 06 67 80 00 85), stalls for horses.
• Bars, grills, and many free activities for children under 12.

The site also has a restaurant open on horse racing days, from 12 p.m. (reservations possible at 06 89 94 32 91).
Since 2024, we have been labeled "Equures" and "#RACEANDCARE".

Sundays July 13 and 27, August 3, 10 and 17, 2025.
