Le Perrier is a retro-coastal commune, it is located near Saint-Jean-de-Monts. It is therefore in the countryside, but close to the ocean. It is a place conducive to vacation resorts. Le Perrier is at the beginning of the Marais Breton Vendéen, a special natural environment with canals, salt marshes and sometimes submerged wet meadows. A green setting that is conducive to the preservation of fauna and flora that birdwatchers know well. Most of the town is also classified Natura 2000 for its protection. You will be able to take rides in a Yole, a kind of flat-bottomed boat, like a rowing boat, which the inhabitants of the swamps once used to get around. You can also take a horse-drawn carriage ride in this very special environment. Two hikes allow you to follow marked trails to walk and discover the best of the surrounding landscapes.
