The estate has remained in the family and has been passed down from generation to generation. It all started with Pierre DAVIET, in the 1900s, who operated 1.50 ha of vines, his son Abel, then his grandson Rachel, continued to work on the farm, expanding as they went along. In 1989 the vineyard exploited 12 ha of vines... It was in 1989 that Daniel BRISSON joined forces, then Lydia arrived in 1996, the Domaine prospered! The latter now extends over 53 ha of which 46 ha is owned.
Daniel BRISSON and Lydia DAVIET-BRISSON, a couple in life and partners on the farm, preserve this estate and contribute to its development and modernization while respecting their environment because the estate is managed in a reasoned culture, and is HVE certified (high environmental value).
Daniel and Lydia are producers of white, rosé and red wines, in the appellation Fiefs Vendéens Mareuil in different grape varieties:
• Chardonnay, Chenin… for the whites, then Gamay, Pinot noir…
• Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Négrette, for the rosés and reds…
These grape varieties contribute to the development of our different cuvées:
- Our historic cuvées: Domain of the Vrignaie
- Our parcel cuvées: Molinum
- Our woody cuvées: Excellence
- Our traditional method: Breaking wave
We also produce our traditional quality sparkling wine method on the property.
