The La Chevauchée des Dunes equestrian center has been open every summer since 1999, for the pleasure of those who want to enjoy the sunny climate of the Vendée, its beaches, its forests, its marshes... and satisfy their passion for horses!
Whatever your horse riding experience, come and discover horse or pony rides in an exceptional setting.
We offer galloping in the foam for the older ones or mini pony courses for the children for the day or the week.
Our qualified team will be happy to introduce you to these pleasant activities , to share with family or friends.
Whether you are camping in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, renting in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, or living year-round in Challans, do not hesitate to inquire or come and discover our equestrian activities.
HORSE RIDE
Are you looking for an outdoor activity for your children during the holidays in Vendée? Would you like to spend some time in contact with nature in Saint-Jean-de-Monts? Do you love horses and dream of riding in the middle of nature, galloping on the beach, horseback riding by the sea? Discover our formulas:
- Discovery horseback ride 1 hour
Walk in the forest and the dune, in groups of different levels, beginners and novices accepted accompanied by a qualified person.
By reservation. From the age of 8.
- 2-hour ride for experienced riders
On the beach and in the forest to walk in the water and for long gallops.
By reservation. From 12 years old.
- Horseback riding with overnight stay for 2 half days
Walk on the beach, in the forest and the marsh. Swimming in the sea if the weather permits.
By reservation, depending on number of participants. From 14 years old.
The ponies
In our center in Saint-Jean-de-Monts (Vendée), during the summer period, our friends the horses and ponies live in the meadows or in the paddocks. We take care of around 35 equines, from the nicest to the most playful, of various sizes and shapes, you will definitely find what you are looking for to accompany your children in the discovery of horse riding. Offer them an ideal sports activity during the holidays!
- Shetland rides / pony rides
In hand held by the parents 1/2h or 1h at your option, walk on a quiet course, at your own pace, in the pine forest.
From 2 and a half years old. Every day, without reservation.
- Mini pony courses
Supervised by a qualified instructor for a session or for the week, in an evolving and fun way, children learn to take care of their ponies, to lead, play games and navigate themselves in the forest. According to the evolution hike with picnic at the end of the week.
From 7 to 11 years old. Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
