Vignoble Mercier: A unique terroir, La Loire Côté Sud

They produce Vins de Loire - Vendée in AOC Fiefs Vendéens, IGP, VDF and Traditional Methods unique in Vendée. Their vines are planted on one of the finest terroirs in the Loire Valley. It's an ancient clay-limestone island rich in flint, at the gateway to the Marais Poitevin. 

In fact, it's the southernmost terroir of the Loire. They benefit from a warm, temperate oceanic climate offering the best ripening potential in the region. A westerly sea breeze crosses the marsh to caress their vines at all times: in addition to enhancing their health, they suspect it gives saline notes to some of their Grandes Cuvées.

The Domaine is part of the Mercier Group, which is world-renownedfor the production of vine plants for winegrowers in France and abroad. Plants thus play an essential role. Far from clichés, they have developed a cultivation approach based on common sense and respect.

Their motivation: to produce pure wines that reflect and respect their terroirs of origin.

You are curious about Vendée wines and more particularly wines from their field. Do not hesitate to come to meet them. Always, they have been enjoying a lot of fun discovering their different cuvées andthe AOC of Vendean fiefs through a commented tasting.

This service is without obligation to purchase and free without appointment for a group of 1 to 8 people (adults). You will be able to taste 4 of their cuvées. In this formula, you have the possibility to taste their best vintages. These tastings are done with a person in the competent and attentive field. They take the opportunity to present their terroir, their field, their vision of viticulture as well as the name of the Vendean fiefs.

Go to their cellar located Chemin des Vignes. This space is comfortable, air -conditioned and accessible to people with reduced mobility and pets (a space is also dedicated to children).
