  New boutique hotel in La Roche-sur-Yon. Housed in a former school. The decor and carpentry work - carried out by Wonder Architecture in Rennes - in the entrance, restaurant, and rooms are superb. The hotel entrance with its piano and large fireplace is also very welcoming... with its candy jar for the children. Top-notch. Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel affiliated with the Accor group. Very reasonable price for the quality. Small, minor details that could be improved, which I reported directly to the hotel team. The restaurant will be the subject of a dedicated Google review, but it's not yet up to the hotel's standard. But the hotel's excellent service deserves a 5-star rating. Congratulations to the teams and the Dubreuil group. D

  A very good night's sleep in a beautiful establishment that stands out from the usual standards of Accor franchises. The decor has character, the welcome is warm, and the room very comfortable. A few points could, however, be improved to better meet the expectations of a Gold ALL Accor guest: no welcome drink offered at check-in, no snacks in the room, and no free access to the minibar. Regarding breakfast, several details surprised me for a 4-star hotel: no freshly squeezed orange juice (which is often found in 3-star Ibis hotels), few savory options, and no restocking of juices. I also had to wait for a young female staff member to come out of the kitchen area to ask her where to find the coffee and tea cups, which were ultimately hidden in a cabinet. The staff is generally friendly, although I would have appreciated a little more interaction in the dining room during my stay—aside from a brief encounter with a technician. However, there was an unpleasant surprise at check-in: in addition to the rate of nearly €200 per night, a €250 bank deposit was required by card, for one night only. This isn't the welcome I expect in this type of establishment. Despite these factors, I particularly enjoyed the quality of sleep, thanks to the comfortable bedding – even if the mattress topper felt more like a mattress pad. Overall, it was a positive stay, in a place with real character.
