      Visit the feudal castle

The 11th century Commequiers castle is a major witness to the region's past. It offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding area and is a popular place for a walk. It is as if it were set on the water and its enclosure set with 8 stone towers is very astonishing. You cannot go inside, but if you are in the area on July 14 or August 15, a very beautiful medieval show takes place at the castle which is exceptionally open.

      The Medieval

Every year, at the beginning of August, Commequiers is transformed into a real medieval village. It is an opportunity to discover shows, artisans and to taste local products.

      Outdoor activities

The surrounding nature lends itself to many activities such as hiking or horse riding. If you want to go cycling, don't hesitate to take the Commequiers rail bike.

      Discover the surroundings

The beaches of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie are a few kilometers away, as is the Charles Milcendeau museum in Soullans, which traces the history of the Vendée region.
