The beach of the Grande Côte in La Fromentine

The Grande Côte beach is a very wide beach, which grows according to the tides. You have a breathtaking view of the island of Noirmoutier, just opposite. The municipal sand yachting school is located there. This is a good opportunity to discover this activity.

We love the municipal sand yachting school and its view of Noirmoutier.

The beaches of Noirmoutier island

Beaches abound on Noirmoutier Island. If only one should be mentioned, the Plage des Dames is a small beach, sandwiched between its Berth and Pointe Saint-Pierre. Its traditional bathhouses we plunge in the heart of the 19th century, where the beaches saw the first tourists arrive, and gives it a charm. There is a holiday atmosphere there. By the beach, you can enjoy a restaurant, a snack bar, water sports...

We love its typical bathing huts of the 19th century.

Bois Soret beach in Notre-Dame-de-Monts

Nestled in the dunes and bordered by the national forest of the Pays de Monts, the Bois Soret beach is the wildest of the beaches of Notre-Dame-de-Monts. Its preserved environment will appeal to nature lovers. However, it may not be the most practical for families, especially with young children. It is quite isolated and without special equipment.

We particularly appreciate its natural setting between the dunes and the woods.

Demoiselles beach between Saint-Jean-de-Monts and Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez

The large expanse of sand stretching from Saint-Jean-de-Monts to Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez has been divided into several beaches. The beach of Demoiselles borders the city and offers you more services. It is surrounded by the Golf beach to the north which runs alongside the golf course and allows you to combine sport and relaxation on the sand. To the south, the beach of Sixty terminals is extended by the naturist beach of Les Salins.

We applaud the convenience of this beach and the city's services.

The Anse des Soux on the Ile d'Yeu

The island of Yeu is famous for its wild coast. Small coves line the steep cliffs. Anse des Soux beach will give you the impression of being alone in the world. Its isolation is an asset for solo travelers who will appreciate the calm and the change of scenery. But this is not a beach for families. There is no equipment, no shops or restaurants on site, the car park is remote and the currents can be dangerous.

It is a wild and isolated beach.

At the entrance to the Port de la Vie, the small and intimate Boisvinet beach is popular with photographers for its views of the Boisvinet lighthouse, the Jetée de la Garenne and the Rêverie benches. Then on the other side of the pier, is the Grande Plage of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, with all the equipment, sports clubs, shops and services usual in seaside towns. from the Grande Plage and separated by a rocky area, you have access to the naturist beach of Petit Pont.

We are very attracted by its points of view and the port of Life.

The Grande Plage des Sables d'Olonne is typical of Vendée seaside resorts. The decor puts you in the mood of the era of the first sea baths, with its beach cabins. You benefit from all the advantages of the resort: shops, bars and restaurants, schools, rental of sunbeds... For those who prefer fresh water, with a view of the ocean, go to the Remblai swimming pool.

An unmissable! The most famous of the Vendée seaside resorts.

Veillon beach in Talmont-Saint-Hilaire

Veillon beach is the one that will satisfy the greatest number. At the heart of the mouth of the Payré and on the edge of the forest, it is a magnificent environment and a privileged site for bird watching. However, it has all the essential services for families: supervised swimming, water sports, parking and restaurant area.

The little extra? A very natural beach.

Conches beach, in Longeville-sur-Mer

The beach of Les Conches stretches along a dune ridge. Located near Longeville-sur-Mer, you benefit from all city services: restaurants, shops, etc. A large car park welcomes you at the entrance to the beach. The Longeville Surf Club (fr) offers initiations, lessons and courses in surfing and bodyboarding and rents you all kinds of equipment to practice board sports.

You will find all kinds of activities to do on site and in the surrounding area. You can practice water sports there of course, but you can also walk on the hiking trails of Forêt Plage.

Bring the landing net and the bucket! The tip of the Grouin du Cou in La Tranche-sur-Mer is a good place for shore fishing.
